FAQ

We are an organic company, with a soul, focused on solutions connected to the preservation of the planet, providing products aimed at environmental protection, including absorption and containment of oil and other leaks, waste solidifiers and emergency kits, with the greatest concern of tuning development business and sustainability, minimizing impacts on nature and optimizing results.

We work with sales without territorial restrictions, offering various channels for contact and assistance (website, email, chat, telephone, Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin).

We have a large stock for prompt delivery and emergency demands, in addition to working with products and kits that are customizable to the needs of each client and situation, maintaining a rigorous Eco Response service standard, valuing agility, quality and commitment to identifying the best solution. adapted to the specificities of the specific case, which also makes leak mitigation safer and more efficient.

Yes, the Eco Response team provides in-company training, courses, lectures, simulated coping scenarios and environmental emergency workshops, with an emphasis on detailing the correct practical use of the products sold, granting respective certifications.

Eco Response is always ready to respond to environmental emergencies through the availability of its products, with application being the responsibility of the client company and/or contractors. We do not charge additional fees for supplying products, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

No, although Eco Response maintains a dynamic register of environmental consultancy partners with which it identifies alignment of purpose and values, it does not act directly in the provision of services.

Yes, Eco Response has solutions for repairs, reinforcements, material replacements and general improvements in Containment Barriers.

No, Containment Barriers are Eco Response products that fulfill the crucial function of isolating waste leaked into seas, lagoons, etc., delimiting the affected area and preventing the spread of contamination. For a complete solution, Containment Barriers are used in combination with the application of Absorption Barriers or Eco Response Absorbent Blankets.

The dimensions of the Containment Barrier must be decided taking into account the specific characteristics of the location where it will be used, such as the area to be covered, tidal strength, winds, possible incidences of friction, etc., in addition to ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials).

There is electrolytic galvanizing and hot-dip galvanizing. However, in electrolytic galvanizing, the protection layer is extremely inferior. When someone says “galvanized” they could be referring to either process, which is why it is important to always look for the “fired” specification. The electrolytic galvanization layer is 5 to 12 microns, that is, it does not resist aggressive environments and has a short durability, while the hot-dip galvanization layer can reach 70 microns in steel. In addition to these differences, the hot-dip galvanized chain has a double layer of zinc, greater durability, does not require maintenance and is resistant to corrosion.

Containment Barriers: The quality of raw materials is directly related to the useful life of your containment barrier. It is important to require a minimum grammage of 700g/m2 with UVA/UVB additives, resistance to tearing and rupture of PVC, hot-dip galvanized chains, stainless steel pins and screws, in addition to the marine aluminum profile. Absorbents: The weight of the absorbent material you are purchasing reflects the absorption capacity that the product offers. Absorbent products with less weight (less absorbent fibers) have a lower absorption capacity, reaching their maximum capacity faster, becoming another waste to be discarded sooner. The greater the weight, the less waste generated.

The first step is to identify the main substance to be absorbed. The second step is to learn about our product lines by applicability: White, Green or Gray.

White Line: Absorption of oils and petroleum derivatives.
Green Line: Absorption of chemical/aggressive liquids.
Gray Line: Absorption of water-based liquids.

It is extremely important to pay attention to the type of residue/leak before choosing any product for environmental protection, as the products are different from each other, that is, the material that absorbs oil will not absorb water/chemicals, as well as those that absorb chemicals/ water will not absorb oil. Furthermore, it is necessary to pay attention to the fire risks arising from the chosen material and its reaction with the residue to be absorbed. The correct choice of product is directly related to absorption efficiency, as well as the safety of the entire operation and those involved in cleaning up the spill.

It depends on the probability of the leak that must be absorbed, where it occurs and what substance is to be mitigated.

From the probability of leakage and the type of waste, where it could leak and what consequences the leak could have. With this information, it is possible to assemble your Eco Response kit with the greatest absorption efficiency and environmental protection.

Each absorbent product has a different function to absorb a leak:

  • Absorbent Pillows: Use for continuous leaks (necessary to be 5cm high)
  • Absorbent Cord: Recommended for delimiting leaks and preventing leaks in machines.
  • Absorbent Blanket: Recommended for water leaks or to prevent leaks (use as “mats”).
  • Powdered absorbents: Recommended for cleaning leaks in the ground.
  • Absorbent Barrier: Recommended for absorbing water leaks and can be combined with a Containment Barrier.

In addition to the absorption capacity, the characteristics of each item are different:

  • Sawdust: Flammable, absorbs any type of waste, including water. It may sink and increase in volume after absorbing the residue. Several environmental bodies do not allow its use.
  • Peat: Organic absorbent with low absorption capacity and can sink over time.

The tow can be replaced by oil and/or chemical absorbent blankets, depending on the main waste for which its use is intended.

Eco Response’s waste solidifiers do not change the volume, guarantee greater transport safety in the event of accidents and do not alter the original characteristics of the waste.

All waste can be solidified, what will change in the process is the product that will be used to solidify each type.

  • Water-Based: Solidification of water-based waste.
  • Chemicals: Solidification of acids, solvents and volatile residues.
  • Oil: Synthetic residue solidifier for oil absorption.
